QCMI Announces Its Participation in San Diego’s Inaugural Sustainability Circle™

Santee, CA (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 — Quality Controlled Manufacturing Inc. (QCMI) is pleased to announce that it is one of nine companies participating in the inaugural Sustainability Circle™ in San Diego. The program is developed and facilitated by True Market Solutions (TMS).

True Market Solutions Sustainability Circle Program offers an innovative, peer-learning approach for small and mid-sized businesses that is affordable, accessible and action-oriented. The core outcome of the program is a customized Sustainability Action Plan created by the participants themselves over six months, guiding them towards greater profitability, employee engagement and competitiveness.

QCMI expects its participation in the Sustainability Circle Program to help it develop a customized Sustainability Action Plan. The plan will address four key objectives: the kick-off of company-wide sustainability efforts; a decrease in the manufacturing facility’s carbon footprint; achievement of the energy star certification; and an investigation in the benefits of incorporating renewable energy by going solar.

QCMI specializes in the precision machining of all metals including exotic alloys. The nationally recognized metal working company produces components with complex shapes, contours, exacting tolerances and stringent quality requirements. It manufactures parts and assemblies for the aerospace, power generation, Department of Defense (DOD), oil and gas, marine and heavy equipment industries.

“At QCMI, our vision is to ‘define the future in manufacturing,’ and to be a world class organization leading the way in our industry in customer service, innovation, integrity, workplace growth, and in the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement,” said founder and CEO Bob Grande. “We believe by participating in the Sustainability Circle and designing our own action plan that we will position QCMI to become one of the nation’s leading sustainable manufacturers by 2017.”

“TMS is thrilled to have a leading organization like QCMI as a Circle participant,” said TMS founder and CEO Elliot Hoffman. “We appreciate their demonstrated commitment to becoming more energy efficient, embedding sustainable business practices into their operations, and helping to improve the San Diego community.”
