UnitedHealthcare’s Healthy Employer Award was created to honor California employers who are committed to providing a healthy work environment and improving the health and well-being of their employees. Company employees were invited to nominate their company online via the Charger website Healthy Employer Award banner. Two companies were selected from the qualifying entries. QCMI submitted a comprehensive entry which included documentation on: company information; wellness strategy; wellness leadership engagement and culture; wellness programs and initiatives; wellness infrastructure; wellness education and communication; program measurement and evaluation; and comprehensive summary.

“It’s truly exciting to add this honor to our 2013 San Diego’s #5 Healthiest Company award in the Small Business Category from the San Diego Business Journal,” said Founder and CEO Bob Grande. “UnitedHealthcare and the Chargers know a good wellness plan can help employees and a business like QCMI grow healthy.”
